- My role
- Founder and Director
- Result
- Building an ecosystem that connects young people, developers, researchers, universities and organizations through artificial intelligence.
Overview
YAIS Lab is an artificial intelligence organization focused on expanding access to education, research, opportunities and real-world AI projects in Bolivia and Latin America.
Problem
Talent exists across the region, but education, networks and opportunities in artificial intelligence are unevenly distributed.
My role
Founder and Director.
Solution
Programs that combine education, scholarships, hackathons, workshops and research so participants can move from learning to building.
Technical approach
Alongside the programs, the organization builds its own platforms for community operations, event management and AI-assisted learning experiences.
Challenges
Sustaining programs with limited resources and coordinating volunteers, universities and partners across different cities.
Results
An ecosystem in construction connecting young people, developers, researchers, universities and organizations through artificial intelligence.
What I learned
That community infrastructure is a product in itself, and that consistency matters more than scale in the early stages.
